LOBBY HOURS: The jail lobby is open daily from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. Lobby hours, and visitation times are subject to change without notice based upon, but not limited to the following factors: Staffing limitations, inmate restrictions, malfunctioning equipment, and adverse weather conditions.

The lobby is located on the west side of the Fayette County Justice Center. Follow the signs leading to the INMATE VISITATION door.

Kiosks are available in the lobby to place money on an inmate's phone and/or commissary accounts. They accept cash, credit, or debit cards.

All inmate visits are conducted through video visitation. The schedule of visitation at FCDC revolves around the inmates housing location within the facility.

1. Visitors are served on a first come, first serve basis.
2. Inmates are allowed 1 adult visitor per week. Minors under 18 are permitted to visit with an accompanying approved adult.
3. Visits shall not exceed 1 hour. Split visits are not permitted.
4. Visitor's must be listed on the inmate's visitation list.
5. Visitor's must be pre-approved through the FCDC screening process prior to visitation.

Inmate telephone services are provided by Global Tel*Link. You may contact GTL ConnectNetwork Customer Support directly at 1-877-650-4249 to create an account for an account for an inmate at the Fayette County Detention Center.

You may also place money in an inmate's account in person at a kiosk using a credit/debit card or cash.

If you wish to have your number blocked so that you cannot receive calls from inmates at the Fayette County Detention Center, please call 1-877-856-3184 option 1.

Incoming Inmate Mail Limitations and Restrictions

  • Mail which contains pornographic, gang, or narcotic related materials shall be rejected by the jail.

  • Mail envelopes and letters must not contain stickers, tape, or anything other than the postal stamp on the outside. Any envelope or letter containing stickers or tape shall be rejected by the jail.

  • Mail received at any address other than the Fayette County Detention Center cannot be hand delivered to the jail by friends and/or family of the inmate.

  • Inmates are only allowed paperback books and newspapers. Magazines and hard cover books of any type shall not be accepted or allowed into the jail.

  • All newspapers and paperback books must be mailed directly from the publisher or book supplier (Amazon, Barnes & Noble, etc.) to the jail.

  • No magazines will be accepted. Newspapers and books mailed from or delivered by individuals shall be rejected by the jail.

  • DO NOT send cash and money orders. They are not accepted through the mail and shall be rejected by the jail.
